Justin Hall is the creator of the comics True Travel Tales, Hard to Swallow, and Theater of Terror: Revenge of the Queers, among others. He has work in publications such as the Houghton Miflin Best American Comics, Best Erotic Comics, and the SF Weekly. Hall was the editor of the Lambda Award-winning and Eisner-nominated No Straight Lines: Four Decades of Queer Comics and then produced the award-winning feature-length documentary film of the same name. He has curated shows of comics art and had his own work exhibited internationally. He is the first Fulbright Scholar of Comics, the Chair of the MFA in Comics program at the California College of the Arts, and the Co-Organizer of the Queers & Comics Conference. Hall lives in San Francisco with his husband and pet snake when he’s not bumming around the world with his backpack (well… now it’s a roller bag, to be honest). He is currently at work on a graphic novel mixing memoir and historical narratives that weaves together San Francisco’s queer history with his own journey as a gay man.
